This 963 bottle from Yamazakura, Sasanokawa Shuzo, was very recently released for the Japanese market, with only a limited number of bottles available. The Black label edition is more intense than the Red label edition, with a subtle hint of peat coming through, and a light earthiness mellowing it out. If you’re looking for a new, exciting Japanese whisky to try, the Yamazakura 963 is a must!
